If your P6 is not bright enough
Some early production P6 inadvertently shipped with incorrect ‘BOOST’ brightness mode power settings. If you have firmware version P6.20180505 you can update the firmware for your P6. This firmware version enables a higher power ‘BOOST’ brightness mode for a brighter image in ‘BOOST’ brightness mode.
You can follow the steps below to update your P6.
Notes before updating:
• A USB memory stick (FAT32 format) no more than 32GB is needed to update the firmware on your P6
• Please ensure your unit is fully charged (which will be indicated by a green LED in the back of the projector). We also recommend that your P6 is plugged into power when updating the firmware.
Update Procedure:
1. Download the projector firmware file: Here
2. Copy the downloaded firmware file to the root folder (highest folder of hierarchy) of the USB memory stick.
NOTE: DO NOT copy any other files or folders to the USB memory stick
DO NOT change the firmware’s file name
3. Make sure the Power Switch on the P6 is in the “OFF” position
4. Connect the USB memory stick to the P6’s USB port
5. Move the Power Switch to the “ON” position. Your unit should automatically power on and your firmware update should begin. The Blue lights will start blinking on the top indicating the unit is updating. DO NOT turn the unit off during the update.
6. The firmware update will take 30 seconds to 1 minute. Once complete, your P6 will boot into the Main Manu.
7. Your P6 is now updated with the latest firmware!
